CEMBAB: Conservation of the Wonderful Species of Bahía de Banderas A.C.
CEMBAB is a nonprofit civil association dedicated to the conservation, protection, rescue, and rehabilitation of flora and fauna in both Bahía de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta. Its objective is to promote, encourage, manage, and execute actions and programs that contribute to the preservation of species inhabiting our national territory—especially those that are protected or endangered—as well as to defend the ecosystems and natural areas that serve as their home. Among its main activities are:
One of CEMBAB’s flagship programs is “Birds of Paradise,” which focuses on the preservation of the green, blue, and golden macaws. To showcase these marvelous birds, CEMBAB has created a dedicated “jungle” space at the maritime terminal where visitors from both Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas can appreciate these species. In addition, the organization maintains a beach nursery for the care of sea turtles—since the bay hosts four of the seven endangered turtle species worldwide—and conducts nighttime patrols and public awareness campaigns to ensure their protection.
CEMBAB is an organization that relies on donations to function, and your support is essential for our ongoing efforts to conserve our natural heritage. Every contribution helps us continue our vital programs and reach more communities in need. Please donate today via our PayPal link or directly at our facilities at Marina Vallarta.
Thank you for joining us in our mission to protect and preserve the biodiversity of Bahía de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta for future generations.
