The best anglers from Puerto Vallarta and the region will gather for the Playa Los Muertos Fishing Tournament 2025.
Now in its 18th edition, this traditional sport fishing competition will take place on November 7 and 8, with the iconic Playa Los Muertos pier serving as the event venue and the departure point for participating boats.
In previous years, the tournament has awarded a prize pool exceeding $100,000 MXN to the top three winners in the dorado fishing category. Additionally, the tournament has a charitable aspect, often donating part of the day’s catch to nonprofit organizations in Puerto Vallarta.
The Playa Los Muertos Fishing Tournament 2025 provides a significant economic and tourism boost, helping establish sport fishing as one of Puerto Vallarta’s most prominent activities—especially in the Playa Los Muertos area.
Registrations typically open a day before the tournament at Deportes Gutiérrez Rizo.
